COMMUNIQUE ON THE 2013 NKST ENGLISH CHOIR NATIONAL CONFERENCE HELD AT NKST CHURCH LESSEL FROM 4TH – 7TH APRIL, 2013.

The NKST (URCC) English Choir Conference on like the Tiv Choir is an annual National Conference which is the gathering of all NKST sons and daughters who loved singing in the English Language in groups in NKST world wide.

The conference Themed: “Stand Firm” featured inspired messages from Rev. Philip Tachin Ph.d who was the guest speaker, workshop by Prof. Mrs. Nancy Agbe, Bible study, Choir ministration and business meetings. This is the nature of the NKST Choir both Tiv and English.

The central focus of the conference was to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to produce the Chorister who would represent the church (NKST) in the society, standing firm for the right, justice and truth no matter the circumstance.

The conference saw the church as the last hope and must therefore stand firm on the Reform faith without compromise to rudiments of the contemporary society.

That both the church and society must turn to the truth and depends on the Lord who fights for His own even in time of attacks from the enemies of the truth.

The conference also insisted that the church must have a befitting music for English worship and must resist circularization.

The English Choir National Conference 2013 was a rewarding, edifying and provided opportunities for all consistory Choir groups to minister.

The participants all pledged to be Evangelical and prayed for more growth.
